Robert Rauschenberg‘s first recorded trip to Vancouver was in July, 1967. Although I couldn’t find any photos of him in The Vancouver Sun files from that visit, there are images of the U.S. artist from his two subsequent visits in 1978 for an exhibition at the Ace Gallery and then again in 1980 for one at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
